ASUU To Embark on One Month Warning Strike

News Room The Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) has decleared a one- month warning strike. President of the Union, Emmanuel Osodeke, announced this at a press conference on Monday after a two -day meeting of the Union's National Executive Council (NEC). According to him, the industrial action , which begins immediately, is "comprehensive and total". "We don't like to see our students at home. We don't want our academic Calendars disrupted but our demands are not met," he said. However these issues still persist, hence the one -month warning strike ASUU wants to embark on. ANOTHER FIRE OUTBREAK AT THE UNIVERSITY OF CALABAR

News Room AGAIN, ANOTHER FIRE OUTBREAK AT THE DEPARTMENT OF HISTORY AND INTERNATIONAL STUDIES, UNIVERSITY OF CALABER... Just few days after the Department of Mathematics caught fire, another outbreak at the Department of History and International Studies, University of Calaber. According to an eye witness, "this happened at the early hours of Sunday, 6th of February, 2022. Students files, documents and some office equipments were burnt to ashes." As at the time of filling this report, there was no lecturer or fire services around the University Campus. According to an eye witness who manage to gained access to the Department said students files from 2017, 2018 and 2019 were really affected. ASUU Threatens To Embark On Indefinite Strike, Condemns FG

News Room The  Academic Staff Union of Universities  (ASUU) on Friday threatened to embark on strike following the delay in the decision of the Federal Government to resolve the lingering crisis in universities. ASUU described the defence of IPPIS as shameful, claiming that there had been fraud in its implementation as indicated in the 2021 report submitted to the National Assembly by the Auditor General of the Federation.
