NOTICE OF MANDATORY REGISTRATION OF TEACHERS

The Akwa Ibom State Ministry of Education has directed all professional teachers, serving in both private and public schools to register with the state Teachers Registration Council at the Ministry of Education Headquarters, Block 10 Idongesit Nkanga's Secretariat Complex, Uyo. Non-professional teachers are by this notice adviced to acquire the requisite educational qualification to make eligible to register with the council as registration with Teachers Registration Council is now a criteria for teaching in any school within Akwa Ibom State. INEC Declares Oybanji as Winners of Ekiti Governorship Election

News Room The candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Saturday's Governorship election in Ekiti State Abiodun Oyebanji has been declared winner of the exercise. Oyebanji, who secured victory in 15 of the 16 Local Government Areas of the state, polled a total of 187,057 votes. Segun Oni, his closest rival polled a total of 82,211 votes while Bis Kolawole of the Peoples Democratic party (PDP), trailed with 67,457 votes. Returning officer for the election Professor Kayode Adebowale declared Oyebanji winner at a few minutes past 3am on Sunday morning.

Akpabio Wins APC Senatorial Ticket in Re-Run Election After Stepping Down for Tinubu

Days after stepping down for former Governor of Lagos State, Bola Tinubu in the All Progressives Congress Presidential primary, former Minister of Niger Delta Affairs, Senator Godswill Akpabio, has clinched the All Progressives Congress (APC) ticket for Akwa Ibom North West Senatorial district. Out of the 540 delegates at the senatorial rerun primary election, 512 were accredited. Akpabio emerges the winner with 478 votes, while Sir Joseph Akpan had one vote. Adamu announces Senate President Ahmad Lawan as APC Consensus candidate

APC National Chairman, Adamu Abdullahi announces Senate President, Ahmad Lawan, as party's consensus candidate. The national Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Senator Abdullahi Adamu has announced Senate President Ahmad Lawan as the consensus presidential candidate of the party. Adamu made the announcement at the meeting of the National Working Committee (NWC) in Abuja today June 6th, 2022. Other aspirants including Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, Vice President Yemi Osibanjo, Dr. Kayode Fayemi and David Umahi, among others, will however be allowed to contest the primary at the convention holding tomorrow at the Eagles Square, Abuja.
